Full Tilt’s 9th Online 꽁머니 환전 Series continued this past Monday with a $1000+60 buy-in $1,500,000 guarantee start-studded tournament. One of the biggest buy-in tournaments of the series was full of high-stakes professionals and notable online winners. The tourmanet only drew 1,405 participants, forcing Full Tilt to contribute nearly $100,000 in tournament overlay.
In the end it was “bmf823″ who took down the Championship, $300,000, and of course, the vaunted FTOPS Jersey avatar on Full Tilt. He is on quite a roll recently, having won a $163 buyin tournament just over 24 hours before the FTOPS event took place.
His road to the win was not an easy one however, with many “Red Pros” in the field and other high-stakes MTT players he certainly earned this victory. Making the final two-tables were Pros Phil Gordon and Ram Vaswani. While Gordon was unable to reach the final table Ram was able to place 5th for a nice pay day of nearly $73,000. One of the best online MTT players in the world, Kevin Saul (Getpwn3d or BeL0WaB0Ve) finished 4th bringing in just over $100,000.
The Full Tilt Online Poker Series continued this past Saturday with Event #7, a $100+$9 NLHE rebuy tournament with a $500,000 guarantee. This format, popular with many higher stakes online players, drew 1,961 entries for a total prize pool of $621,100 after the rebuy hour and addon period.
Top spot went to bizzleraises, who earned just shy of $128,000 for his night of work. Bizzleraises also won a $109 rebuy on Full Tilt last month, so it seems that this format definitely agrees with him.
The big name at the final table was USCphildo, one of the hottest online players in 2008. Having previously won the Full Tilt $1K Monday in May of this year, he continued his exceptional run and took down third place for a nice payday of $62,731.
Over 1,000 players took their chances in Event 9 of FTOPS IX this past Sunday. The No-Limit Hold’em Heads Up tournament started at 4:00pm ET with a $500 + $35 buy-in. Only 128 of the 1,322 hopefuls were able to place in the money. Tedsfishfry took home the victory landing himself a nice $115,014.00. Even though the guarantee for Event 9 was $500,000, the prize pool reached a whopping $661,000.
Honorable mentions include Team Full Tilt’s Stefan Rapp, who placed sixth, and Ram “Crazy Horse” Vaswani, who busted out at 34th.
FTOPS 9 kicked off with a huge start, just as everyone anticipated. In total, Full Tilt scheduled to hold 25 events with more than $15 million guaranteed in prize pools! FTOPS keeps growing, and just like every other series, the FTOPS 9 is the biggest series Full Tilt has had. Event 1 started with the most popular poker game in existence today, no-limit hold’em. It had a $216 buy-in and Full Tilt guaranteed at least $1 million for the prize pool. Well, that amount was surpassed as 5,779 hopefuls came out creating the prize pool up to over $1.1 million awarding first place just a hair under $200,000 and paying 738!
This event was hosted by Full Tilt team member Allen Cunninham, who needs no introduction. He has 5 WSOP bracelets and is most famous for his 4th place finish in the 2006 main event, winning over $3.6 million. However, the start of the FTOPS wasn’t good for Cunningham as he finished just short of the money, in 1069. In all this wasn’t a great event for the red Full Tilt pros, but a few did make it deep and in the money; Isaac Baron finished 388 for $427, Hand Vogl went out in 374 for $427, Jordan Morgan 252nd for $601, Steve Brecher 111th for $1,040, and Vitaly Lunkin went the deepest finishing in 23rd for $4,160.
